Best Answer - What is a 1098-T?

The 1098-T is a Tuition Payment Statement that colleges and universities are required to issue to students.  The form includes important tax information that is furnished to the Internal Revenue Service.  The form includes amounts billed for qualified tuition and related expenses. A student or the person who can claim you as a dependent, may be able to claim an education credit on Form 1040 or 1040A.  For more information, visit the Internal Revenue Service website.

To print out a copy of your 1098-T from the San Mateo County Community College District, log in to your WebSMART Account and under Student Services click on Student Records and then click on Tax Notification (1098-T Form).
